Arthritis Foundation’s Bone Bash Gala 2017
The Arthritis Foundation is pleased to host the 7th annual Bone Bash Gala on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at Royal Sonesta. This signature costumed affair brings together people impacted by arthritis, physicians and community members to raise money to fund a cure aimed at helping the more than 52 million Americans impacted by arthritis. Guests will enjoy dinner, entertainment by Grupo Kache and themed cocktails all centered around Havana Nights.
Each year, we honor a physician leading the fight against arthritis. Rheumatologist Dr. Alexandra Gonzalez-Fuentes of Memorial Rheumatology has been named the 2017 Bone Bash Medical Honoree. Other honorees include five-year-old Liv Areno battling juvenile arthritis and nurse anesthetist Jacque Steede living with rheumatoid arthritis. Bone Bash is being chaired by Sabrina Elias, Ashley Seippel and Alan Smith.
One in five Americans has a form of arthritis. The disease does not discriminate and two thirds of all people with arthritis are under the age of 65. It is the number one cause of disability in the United States and costs our economy $152 billion dollars a year.
The Arthritis Foundation is the Champion of Yes. We lead the fight for the arthritis community and help conquer everyday battles through life-changing information and resources, access to optimal care, advancements in science and community connections.
Bone Bash tickets $300, tables starting at $3,000. For more information www.arthritis.org/bonebashhouston or call 713-942-9062.
