Like many events over the past year, Chapelwood’s Spring Thing Market (“Spring Thing”) had to
be reimagined. Determined volunteers came up with a new plan to help support the charities
that so desperately need funding. This year, Spring Thing will offer two unique opportunities
for shoppers.
First, they are selling Spring Thing Shopping Cards for discounts to 12 local businesses. The card
is good for 6 months (April – September) for $40. Use it over and over at some of your favorite
restaurants and boutiques. Visit springthingmarket.org to purchase your card.
Also, Spring Thing will host a one-day outdoor shopping market on April 22 (rain date – April
29). Don’t miss the latest spring fashions, new jewelry designs, children’s clothing and gifts
from 25+ of your favorite local vendors. They’ll also have plants to spruce up your yard. And
don’t forget to grab some snack mix or a homemade sweet treator a homemade giant ding-
dong! If you can’t make it, pick up a shopping card – it helps the mission, and you save, too!
Spring Thing has been raising funds for women and children in need for 58 years! It is one of the
largest spring shopping markets in Houston with 70+ high-quality vendors.
This year Spring Thing may look different, but the mission is the same: net proceeds will go
toward missions serving women and children in Houston and around the world. That’s why
Spring Thing is called, “The Market with a Mission!”
