A couple weeks ago Instagram sensation London Kaye visited Houston from her hometown Los Angeles for book signings of her new book “Crochet.” If you have not heard of yarn bombing before, it is when an artist uses colorful displays of knitted or crocheted yarn rather than paint or chalk. London is known worldwide for her “Yarn Bombing” throughout cities. Corporations, charities, and fashion houses bring London in to crochet something fun that people will enjoy. Recently, Television Host Kelly Clarkson had London on to “Yarn Bomb” a full room. While in town London could not miss the opportunity to yarn bomb Memorial High School. If you drive down Gaylord you will see her work along the track field fence. Her book is available at Memorial Designs on Campbell Road, so if you are looking for a little color in your life check her out!
