The Kirby Group, leaders in Houston’s hospitality scene, is thrilled to announce the grand opening of Emma Jane—a refined new concept debuting in the Harlow District at 1226 W Clay Street. Emma Jane brings a sophisticated English-style tea service to the heart of the city. Guests can indulge in globally inspired tea sandwiches and pastries, along with a thoughtfully curated menu of small plates, a standout beverage program, and an array of elegant cocktails. Emma Jane offers a relaxed gathering space where friends can enjoy afternoon tea service alongside a stellar selection of wines, champagne, and handcrafted cocktails. The menu is designed around shared plates offering breakfast, afternoon tea, weekend brunch and dinner. Whether stopping by for a quick cocktail, indulging in a traditional tea service, or savoring a multi-course meal, Emma Jane provides a welcoming experience. Emma Jane’s signature tea service, offered daily from 11 AM to 5 PM, brings a touch of classic elegance to the restaurant. Guests will enjoy a classic presentation with a tiered tray featuring fresh, in-house pastries, an assortment of sweet and savory scones, and tea sandwiches.
The service includes a selection of up to three teas from a curated organic tea menu, along with a glass of bubbly, all for $65 per person. Emma Jane’s aesthetic combines classic allure with understated elegance. The interior features soft, neutral tones on the walls, ceilings, and floors, complemented by carefully chosen floral furnishings that provide a subtle pop of color. The 2,300-square-foot space includes two charming houses and a lush 6,000-square-foot back patio, creating multiple inviting settings for guests to enjoy. Emma Jane’s beverage program will feature an extensive selection of wines, champagnes, and spirits, paired with a curated cocktail menu crafted to enhance its culinary offerings. Signature cocktails include the Culture Exchange, a vibrant twist on a margarita with tequila reposado, pineapple, lime, and a hint of kimchi pepper; the Distant Lover, an herbal blend of tequila blanco, pear cordial, and yellow chartreuse; and Panther Beach, a tropical, gin-based cocktail with Thai coconut, passionfruit, and pandan.
These are just some of the menu highlights at Emma Jane, where guests can enjoy a delicate French omelette, soufflé pancakes, and a savory buckwheat crepe for breakfast, along with eggplant à la pressé, comforting shepherd’s pie, and a rich pappardelle duck ragù for dinner.
