Houston’s most in-demand society photographer Daniel Ortiz recently hosted an exclusive gathering at Gala Design-Studio for the unveiling of his fine art photography collection, pieces from which are now available for purchase. The intimate event drew around 75 stylish guests to the spacious 10,000-square-foot Upper Kirby showroom’s second level, where they mingled and perused Ortiz’s eye-catching work in an artfully curated setting.
Guests enjoyed a spread of sophisticated bites from upscale Thai restaurant Makiin that featured signature dishes like Bangkok Brussel Sprouts, Hot Basil Mussels, Pandan Coconut Cake, and Summer Salad. The evening’s wine selection was sponsored by Argentina-based Serca Wines; varietals included a smooth Malbec Bravo and a delectable rosé that guests sipped on as they meandered around the convivial setting; an additional sparkling rosé option and Peroni beer provided further refreshment.
Ortiz’s photography depicts a wide array of moments captured in Houston, as well as striking images captured in noteworthy destinations such as New Orleans, New York, and Italy – with each piece framed through his unique perspective. The collection is displayed and available for purchase at Gala Design-Studio for the next two weeks, with showroom hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; the prints available for purchase may be browsed via this link.
